Time Sheet is a series of 235 prints created from impressions of my face made with oil absorbing sheets. The number of prints corresponds to the number of days I worked at my day job as a graphic designer in 2008. For each day I worked I blotted my face with an oil-absorbing sheet. I then scanned printed and xeroxed each sheet at my office and transferred each Xerox copy to vellum with solvent in my studio. Through this process, I am able to translate a day of work into a unique corresponding print that is tangible yet indecipherable. Gathered together this group of prints is a systematic and chronological account mapping out a physical record of one calendar year.
